Meet Takuya Seo, an otaku who sits behind the popular gals in class, Ijichi and Amane. Since they're people from different “castes,” you wouldn't expect them to have much in common. But when their worlds collide over a borrowed eraser, Takuya slips up about his favorite anime, and Amane...is rather quick to correct him. She says she's not a fan, but her familiarity with the series suggests otherwise. Could she be...a fellow geek?!

NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD (originally NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE) is a multi-ending adventure game that chronicles the 30 days of a girl with a massive need for approval striving to become the #1 streamer, alongside her partner/manager, "P."

Released on Steam in January 2022, the game has recorded a total of 3 million downloads. With views for its related songs surpassing 400 million, it has solidified its status as a landmark indie game representing modern internet culture.

And now, it is April 2026.

The girl who became a single ray of light illuminating the chaotic internet of the Reiwa era—"OMGkawaiiAngel" (Chōzetsu Saikawa Tenshi-chan), commonly known as "Kangel" (Chō-Ten-chan)—is finally making her TV anime debut.

The animation production is handled by Yostar Pictures, the studio behind Arknights and Blue Archive.

The series is directed by Masaoki Nakajima (Yostar Pictures), known for his storyboard and direction work on Blue Archive and New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, as well as the NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD short animation. He brings to life a story and characters unique to this anime adaptation.
